I was really excited to get involved with this project because there are two things that I am passionate about – one is creating an environment for our children so they can thrive both in life and economically and secondly it’s a benefit to my business if we’ve got people who live and work here and who are talented. I think it’s important Harrogate is on the national map, as more than just a nice place to visit, a nice place to live. It’s important that people understand that it’s a good place to run a business from, and there are some serious businesses in Harrogate solving serious problems for the country. People these days often have a lot to say about where they live, where they work – particularly on social media – it allows them a platform to fire off comments and quotes. Here’s a real chance to get involved rather than just being a keyboard warrior! This is an exciting project that Harrogate council have started off along with the business community and people like myself supporting it. We are at the first stage in one of many to take Harrogate to its next place.
